IMPORTANT UPDATE - PLEASE READ

Hi Everyone, this is going to be a long one so apologies in advance! I hope you are all well and staying safe, its definitely been a crazy few months but we seem to be starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You may have noticed I haven't been posting as much on social media recently, apologies I have been concentrating on staying on top of orders and enquiries behind the scenes and to be honest I haven't been feeling 100%. That said the reason I haven't been feeling 100% is because we recently got the lovely news that me and my husband and expecting our first baby so very exciting times ahead!
So you might be wondering what this mean for Special Moments and I want to assure everyone that I will be carrying on as normal for the foreseeable future and beyond but I will be taking some maternity leave in early 2021 and closing for a few months so I'm going to outline this in detail below.
Firstly, anyone that is already booked in with a deposit in early 2021 and whose booking has been affected has already been contacted so if you are in any doubt please check your emails or feel free to message me to double check. I have only contacted those that I absolutely have had to re-book so to try and avoid as much inconvenience as possible, most have already come back and discussed but there are a couple I am awaiting to hear from. If I haven't sent you an email regarding this in the last few days then your booking is on track to be completed as normal so you have nothing to worry about.
I will officially be going on maternity leave from 1st January 2021 but due to the production time on orders the website is going to be closed for NEW ORDERS from the 31st October 2020 until 1st June 2021. PLEASE NOTE I am going to closely monitoring the amount of orders coming through as I need to be careful the further along I get so if I do think its reached a point where I cant fit anymore in I will close the website sooner if necessary.
If you have recently had samples and were waiting until later in the year to place your order, I would advise placing your order as soon as you can just to ensure I have the availability as this together the COVID postponements mean my diary was already quite full for the rest of this year. If you are unsure of details such as quantities or awaiting arrangements from your venue we can simply take a deposit and book you in then you can confirm these later on, please get in touch if you would like further details for this.
I have done my best to plan this around the business whilst also giving myself an adequate amount of recovery time so I hope this doesn't cause too much inconvenience for those that maybe haven't ordered yet but were planning to later on in the year. I'm not going to lie I have no idea what to expect and the last thing I want to do is take bookings then let anyone down on the last minute due to medical issues or because I am struggling to manage so blocking the time out ahead of time seemed the most logical thing to do, I hope you can all understand.
Lastly, I still have a number of orders placed on hold awaiting confirmation of new dates, some have been pending for quite a while now. If you know you are one of these orders please can I just ask that you do keep me updated and let me know where we are up to, just so I can make sure we keep adequate time aside for your order to be completes.
On a final note I just want to thank all of you for your loyal custom and support over what has been one of the most frightening times especially for someone in the wedding industry. I will absolutely be continuing after the baby is born and normal service will resume from June 2021.
